I've been teaching my little dolls to do the hula! And, honing my skills at stop motion photography. Which, as you can see seriously needs work. But these are still fun! Next time I will put the camera on a tripod and keep it still and stage mark where my dolls should stand each time I change their poses. Like I said I'm learning. I'm also working on face up videos and a few other things. Now, when I find 10 more hours in each day I'll get it all done and then put it up here to share. Scroll down for doll measurements and nude basic photos.

Aloha,
I am not the best at collecting this info. or posting it. But here are a few I did manage to get posted. Please remember that I am happy to answer questions anytime at bobergemann@mac.com! If you do not get a response it is because I did not get your email. It might go to my junk folder, so use the Contact Bo form which prevents that. This is a collectible resin ball jointed doll or artist bjd website showcasing Bo Bergemann original ball jointed dolls. These are first and foremost heirloom quality original artist collectible dolls for the discerning collector. My personal aesthetic preferences in collectible dolls lean toward beauty and grace as well as playful fun in all their forms. So my resin ball jointed dolls tend to be beautiful sweet vintage style or modern fun spirited adorable babies, children and soon young adult dolls. BJD stands for ball jointed doll. My bjd's meet all the generally accepted bjd standards being made of resin, original sculpts by me, artist Bo Bergemann, and have 14 -17 joints, standing and holding poses well on their own. They also have removable head pates to exchange eyes and wear wigs as required to be a bjd. My ball jointed dolls can be compared to Kaye Wiggs, Fairyland bjds, Soom bjds, Iplehouse bjds, and many other quality abjd style ball jointed dolls. All my ball jointed dolls are original sculptures, molded in silicon and then cast in the finest quality bjd resin. I began with tiny bjd's and have moved into YOSD bjd's and now MSD bjd's. I noticed ball jointed dolls or bjd's online looking at and enjoying the work of Kaye Wiggs, Dollstown, Fairyland, Soom, and Iplehouse who all make and sell fabulous bjd's. Original ball jointed dolls were created in Europe centuries ago. Then brought to Asia, where they were copied and improved upon to become what modern bjd's are today. There is a long and complex history behind this type of modern ball jointed doll that I only discovered a few years ago, and many of my bjd and heirloom doll collectors are only just discovering now. However, like many of my collectors, I also love Kish, Effner, Plusczok, and Himstedt and Zaweiryuzynski dolls among others which are not bjd's. I am attracted to their beautiful faces and heirloom quality! My goal is to create both beautiful heirloom quality dolls and modern bjd's in one. When I realized this, l had been sculpting dolls for 13 years at that point in time. My excitement over the possibilities for creating realistic body language through ball and socket jointing in dolls, lead me to beginning the long and arduous 2+ year process of learning to sculpt, mold and cast my own bjd's. I love the possibilities for body language and posing inherent in the bjd body type that is not available in any other kind of collectible doll body. I moved into learning to sculpt, mold and cast a resin bjd in 2008, continued through 2009, and launched my new collectible bjd resin ball jointed doll company in Oct of 2010. It took me two and a half years to learn and incorporate all the complex demands of making a true quality abjd style collectible resin ball jointed doll. I was challenged to the point of choosing to either give up, or persevere and make this my full time job! The latter won out and I am enjoying great acceptance from my collectors who are a fast growing crowd of both heirloom collectible doll lovers and bjd artists and collectors. I do so appreciate all the support and encouragement each has offered me in this journey. And for my collectors list who has followed me and grown from my earliest days of offering hand sculpted original life sized babies, through my miniature doll making phase, and now into being a collectible ball jointed doll artist - THANK YOU! I am a doll maker and I believe strongly in doing my best in excellence in all I do. So, when looking for the best body type to make little girls - I discovered bjd's! I have had to research and learned mostly via trial and error the hard way. But I have also recently enjoyed the blessing of having asked wonderful mentors like Kaye Wiggs and Joe McPhale many questions seeking to improve my processes. And each step of the way, I am convinced again that modern bjd's provide the best possible doll body types if your goals are realistic body language, many posing possibilities and getting your dolls to stand on their own. These were my original goals and have blossomed into being my ongoing pursuits as I make the next doll, and the next! All the while, pursuing the main goal of making truly heirloom quality original collectible artist dolls for the discerning collector! Dolls with both fabulous bjd bodies AND beautiful faces & costuming, like so many other modern and antique dolls!
