Goldilocks Loves Baby Bear!

OOAK Complete Figurative Mixed Media Art Piece $1495.00
I am so excited to share my brand new for 2012 Living Art Line of one of a kind collectible doll art pieces. These feature different themes each taken from inspiration as shared in the description of that piece. But generally most have bases and backgrounds as well as accessory pieces to the scale of my dolls and feature my one of a kind doll original doll sculpts that I have modified from my original studio line or factory line dolls or sculpted an entirely new head and made a mold and cast just one quality resin ball jointed doll of that sculpt. I am really excited about all the additional possibilities with these pieces to share my vision with collectors as well as inspire connection between the generations and between collector’s and my art. I hope you will look at the first piece I have ready to show off here and contact me (Contact Bo) to let me know what you think and give me your feedback.

For this piece above, I am showing the base, background (which is actually a beautiful wooden book from the other side) and accessories made in scale to complement my dolls below without the dolls to show you the details of the piece. I found, made or modified each miniature artwork on the wall, the fireplace, room setting, faux mini persian rug, rocker, granny table and flower pot. Everything moves to be played with and moved around. You can replace the art on the wall with a miniature wreath for Christmas and the roses with a mini Christmas tree in addition to being able to pose and repose the dolls that go with this set, or change out their eyes, wigs and clothing.
The posing possibilities are endless and they are just plain fun to play with. My inspiration was taking time for the little things and the little ones along with the age old story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. This set could be something grandma shares when her granddaughters come over. Or mom could put it in her little ones nursery and use it to tell stories, teach lessons. Even for the basics like teaching toddler’s vocabulary. These moments make connections which grow into relationship. Something I value highly and want to help others share as well. For a 2 year old enamored with her hair, you can point and say “hair.” “Pretty hair.” Then help the toddler find your hair or her own and say hair again. Same goes for shoes and eyes and toes. For the 4 year old with a new baby sibling who just loves them so much they squeeze a bit too tight, you can show how to be careful and teach them how Goldilocks Loves Baby Bear, but Baby Bear looks like he may be just a bit scared of Goldilocks, so she has to try to be extra careful and gentle to show him he is safe with her and take good care of him just like big sister has to do with her new baby brother. This is something I hope some family will pass on to enjoy and share and grow relationships for generations. It is NOT something a child could play with alone until much older and not a choking risk with all the little pieces and parts. But is something the older generations can share and interact with the very young over and then pass on as the child grows up to have children of their own.
Goldilocks is one of a kind. I modified her from my popular Zoe sculpt changing her features. Opening her eyes much wider and giving her face a bit more expression to show just how seriously she takes her new big sister role. Of course being Goldilocks, she also had to be beautiful and there will never be another like her. Her baby sibling could be a brother or sister. Perhaps they are ready for Halloween? Or maybe a fun portrait. Baby Bear is a very slight mod of my Leilani sculpt. I gave her a bit of a scoop to her nose to look a bit more like big sister. Both are done in my fabulous Brown Sugar resin color which is a beautiful rich medium skin tone. I used the best of everything to make these dolls truly exquisite as always. Though unlike the rest of my lines these are true one of a kinds even without the base, background and accessories that make up the total art piece.![]()
Finally, this piece comes with a 12” x 12” ready to hang stretched canvass piece of my original mixed media collage artwork to coordinate. This piece continues the theme of making time for little things and little ones and would look fabulous hung on a wall over or near the displayed piece or in an entirely different room. It could even be something grandma keeps while she presents the actual piece to her daughter for the new nursery! Yes, I have hopes and dreams for whoever collects this one. I wish and pray the very best of relationship with the tiny treasures in their life!

The time and detail involved in completing these pieces along with my own efforts to be sure to make time for relationships in my life mean this line is one I will treat more like my beloved hobby than my usual doll business. It also means the pieces will each be very different and likely rare for some time to come as they will be few and far between at times and I am just starting out with this line while my regular doll business is really taking off! There is only so much time in the day and only so much of me to go around. (Would someone please tell me that! LOL!) I dream and desire and tend to reach for the moon and stars. This line is where I allow myself freedom to relax, thoroughly enjoy and do all of the above! As always I’d love to know what you think!
